What the Built to Last experience really looks like
|
Reader, You’ve probably seen the photos of the pyramids, the Nile, and the golden Egyptian sunsets and wondered what it might really be like to experience it all. So let me give you a glimpse. Next October, we’ll journey throughout Egypt, from North to South and back again. This isn't a sightseeing sprint, even though we'll definitely be doing a good bit of that. This about giving ourselves experiences and the space to ask big questions and open our eyes to what we need to see. Here’s what that will look like: In Cairo, we begin by grounding ourselves, exploring the Pyramids and the Sphinx, yes, but also reconnecting with the bigger picture of what we’re building. We’ll open the retreat with a circle to set intentions and begin asking the question that will guide our time together: In Aswan, life slows down. You’ll board a private dahabiya sailboat where the pace of the Nile sets the tone for reflection and renewal. There will be plenty of time to rest, read, journal, and simply be while also swimming in the Nile, learning to make sunbread on a mudbrick oven, and sharing hot mint tea with a local family in one of the villages. Each day, we’ll gather for conversation, meals and reflection, sharing insights, laughter, and ideas as the river carries us forward. We’ll also visit a Nubian women’s cooperative and hear from local entrepreneurs who are building legacies in their own communities. In Luxor, we’ll stand in temples built for queens and goddesses, spaces that echo with leadership, vision, and power. Here, we’ll talk about what legacy means to you, what you’re ready to carry forward, and what you’re ready to release. And finally, back in Cairo, we’ll close the circle, integrating what’s shifted and clarifying how you’ll bring that perspective home. Throughout it all, there will be space for rest, deep conversation, and quiet moments of insight that only happen when you finally slow down. This isn’t a retreat full of sessions and agendas. It’s an intentional journey of reflection, perspective, and renewal, all designed to help you realign what you’ve built with who you’re becoming. I would love to have you on this journey with me.
And if you have questions, there are a couple of ways to get answers.
