The Scoop: Investing in Women's Voices Isn't Optional -- It's Essential!

THE SCOOP

Reader,

March is Women’s History Month, and on Saturday (3/8), I have the incredible honor of delivering the closing keynote at my local International Women’s Day celebration. I am beyond excited to speak on the critical importance of investing in women’s voices and ideas.

Data consistently shows that when women’s voices are amplified, businesses thrive, communities flourish, and the world becomes more just, innovative, and sustainable.

🔹 When women are involved in peace agreements, they are 35% more likely to last 15+ years.
🔹 Companies with women in leadership see 25% higher profitability.
🔹 Women reinvest up to 90% of their income into their families and communities, driving generational change, economic development, and educational improvements.
🔹 Women-founded businesses generate more revenue per dollar invested—yet receive less than 2% of venture capital funding.

But we also know this: conditioning and patriarchy have long taught women to stay small, to be agreeable, to second-guess their own brilliance.

We are told to wait our turn. To soften our ideas. To not be "too much.

I'm freaking tired of doing that.

I am tired of watching brilliant women hold back, waiting for permission to speak, to lead, to take up space.

I am tired of living in a world that constantly forces women to prove their worth before it believes in their ideas.

I am tired of seeing the world’s most urgent problems go unsolved—not because the solutions don’t exist, but because the women who have them are ignored, dismissed, or underfunded.

And I'm guessing you're tired of that, too!

So, I ask you:
👉 What are you doing to challenge the status quo? What narratives and conditioning in your own life are you pushing back on and saying, NO MORE!
👉 How are you pushing back on the systems that keep women’s voices in the background? Are you elevating other women, opening the door for sisters who don't have the same access and privilege as you?
👉 Are you using your own voice unapologetically, or are you still holding back?

I get it. It's scary out there, now more than ever. But if we are growing purpose-driven businesses, that means we have to stand up, speak out, and shine a light on our work! Businesses cannot thrive in the dark.

And neither can you.

This Women’s History Month, let’s do more than celebrate—we need to act. It starts with you, and it starts with me.

I’d love to hear how you’re investing in your and other women’s voices—please hit reply and tell me.

And if you’re ready to amplify your own voice, refine your big idea, and step into the space you were meant to own—I’m here to help.
